UX/UI Design for Fintech Apps: Play2Pay Case Study

As a UX/UI Designer at Kubikware, I worked on the Play2Pay project, the first company to gamify bill payments. My role was to create digital experiences that seamlessly combine functionality and aesthetics, ensuring users enjoy an intuitive and engaging platform. This case study highlights how I designed user flows, prototypes, and a polished interface that minimizes friction and drives conversions.

How do I make sure Play2Pay meets users’ needs?

Through user research, interviews, surveys, and data analysis, I identified real user needs and pain points. With these insights, I defined objectives and created wireframes and user flows that enhanced usability and supported business goals such as customer retention and conversion optimization.

UX/UI Design Process

  • User flows: Mapping journeys to anticipate needs and reduce friction.
  • Wireframes: Building the structural blueprint of each screen.
  • Usability testing: Validating solutions with real users to ensure clarity.
  • Iterative development: Refining features based on continuous feedback.
  • Visual design: Delivering a clean, user-centered interface.
  • Collaboration: Supporting the development and marketing teams during implementation.

Which features did I design for Play2Pay?

Collaborating with the product and development teams, I designed several core features that shaped the platform’s functionality and engagement:

  • Welcome Wheel
  • Winner List
  • Avatar Editor
  • Cover Screen
  • Advertisements & Marketing Elements
  • Bill Payment Interface
  • Welcome Process
  • Guest Mode

My Contribution to Play2Pay’s UX/UI

My role focused on bridging user experience and visual design by:

  • Guiding the product team from idea conception to implementation.
  • Ensuring the interface supported both usability and aesthetic appeal.
  • Conducting deep research to align the platform with real user expectations.

The result was a user interface that simplified complex tasks, increased engagement, and boosted conversion rates within a fintech environment.
